The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement is thrilled to announce that Move For Minds will back on November 2nd, bigger, better and bolder than ever!

Our largest and most exciting event of the year will be happening on one day, in one city, with a one-of-a-kind program geared to transforming the mind, body, and soul. And it’s all for a good cause: raising money to answer the question of why two out of three brains that develop Alzheimer’s belong to women.

Join one of five different Equinox workout classes designed for your body and your brain. Hear from leading scientists and doctors about the latest in brain and women’s health. Meet and mingle with leading wellness experts while checking out what’s new in fitness tech, fashion, and food. Enjoy this day of fun and information while also raising money for critical women-based Alzheimer’s research.

“This year, we are pulling out all the stops to educate thousands of women about the importance of caring for their brain health starting young,” said WAM founder Maria Shriver. “Given we now know Alzheimer’s starts impacting our brains up to 30 years before symptoms appear–we need women to learn the facts about their brains and bodies and adopt healthy lifestyles starting in their 20’s and 30’s. We are truly honored that our founding partner, Equinox Fitness Clubs, stands with us again in fulfilling this mission.”

For the first time, Equinox Fitness Clubs has offered to open the entire west LA Equinox Sports club to Maria Shriver and the Move for Minds team. This year’s redesigned event offers a choice of five fitness classes from which to choose, including Cardio Dance, The Cut (boxing), Yoga, Cycle Beats, and the Best Brain and Butt Ever (a HIIT class), all taught by Equinox master instructors Elise Joan, Ilyse Baker, Steven Goldsmith, Natalie Yco, and Christa DiPaulo.

“Our team of top instructors could not be more proud to participate in this day alongside some of the nation’s leading researchers, doctors, and other health and wellness experts,” said Scott Rosen, President of Equinox Fitness Clubs, leaders in high-performance living. “We believe in Move for Minds and are honored to partner with Maria Shriver and WAM once again in hosting this incredible event.”

“I love Move for Minds,” says Nattie Neidhart, a star of the WWE. “It’s an empowering day of physical exercise mixed with real science and a fun crowd, and all for an important cause that’s close to my heart.” Nattie lost her father to Alzheimer’s in 2018 and has been a WAMbassador ever since.

Neidhart joins the Move for Minds host committee, which this year includes Cat Cora, Jackie Cruz, Leeza Gibbons, Elissa Goodman, Whitney Port, CA First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Los Angeles First Lady Amy Wakeland, Rita Wilson, and many others. They join some of the top neuroscientists whose work is funded by Move for Minds, along with Alzheimer’s advocates, best-selling authors, leading health and wellness experts, and well-known brands showcasing the latest products and merchandise.

Sign up here to join us on November 2nd and change the future for all minds!
